Tempus Group Villages is creating a community where former athletes and military personnel can find respite, support and purpose, whether staying short-term, long-term or making the Village their permanent home.
We have been working with Nick and the ReTribe team for almost a year, exploring how the connections built within the Tempus community can be strengthened through technology.
Through the ReTribe app, members can stay connected to their Tribe, support one another and continue using the tools and practices that help them move forward.
We’re delighted to take the next step in our partnership and bring ReTribe into the Tempus community.

The athletes competing at the Special Olympics remind us what sport can achieve when everyone is given the opportunity to belong, compete and be celebrated.
For us at Tempus, that message carries particular significance.
We are building a movement around people whose lives and abilities can change - including former athletes and military personnel who may themselves experience cognitive and intellectual challenges later in life.
Different journeys. Different circumstances. But one principle should remain constant:
A diagnosis should never diminish a person’s identity, ambition, dignity or place in our community.

Who are Tempus Group Villages?

Tempus Group Villages was founded with a simple belief: that former sports and military professionals deserve more than care alone.

We are creating communities centred around dignity, purpose, connection and wellbeing, supporting individuals through long-term supported living, respite and recovery care, while providing a safe and welcoming environment where people can continue to live fulfilling lives beyond their careers.

Our first Tempus Village is being developed near York, UK, marking the beginning of a vision to redefine specialist support and create communities where people can truly thrive.

Tempus was created in 2023 as a direct result of one man's experience. Chris Simpson-Daniel, an ex-professional rugby player started looking for a care provider for himself aged 44 when he was diagnosed with CTE in 2022.

Chris' vision in creating Tempus is to future proof, not only the care needs he anticipates for himself and to alleviate any burden on his family; but also to help the hundreds and potentially thousands of other ex-sports players, former military personnel and their young families. Chris knows he is not alone and nor are you.
